Collegium Vocale

bullet

Collegium Vocale is the second-oldest community chorus in the Atlanta area, and was organized in 1955 by faculty members of Emory University. Emory continues to support the group through in-kind contributions, including free use of rehearsal space.

Under the direction of Kevin Hibbard, Collegium Vocale continues to delight audiences with a diverse selection of choral works.  Accompanist Leanne Herrmann helps the choir prepare for our performances and often performs at the piano or organ.

bullet

Singers within Collegium Vocale are volunteers, and membership is open by audition. An orchestra and soloists frequently accompany us and solo opportunities exist for members of the ensemble, as well as for area professional singers.  In recent years, we have also joined with other groups in performance, including The Carrollton Festival Chorus, Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde, Orchestra Atlanta, Emory Candler Choraliers, Emory University Chorus, and the Savannah Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

Collegium Vocale is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Tax deductible donations are greatly appreciated. Please contact us if you are interested in making a donation for operating expenses or toward the Collegium Vocale Endowment Fund.
